Summer camp teachers kids about science
For the second year in a row, a popular science school in Jackson held its week-long summer camp in Idaho Falls.
About 14 kids, ages 6-12, participated in the Teton Science School camp. The young explorers learned about animals, energy and how to develop survival skills. They also took several field trips to places like the Idaho Power Dam, Firth Nature Park and the East Side Community Garden.
“Our mission is to take students and bring them to places to experience them. We hope through that experience we create educational opportunities that will last with them through a lifetime,” said Ben Rossetter, field instructor.
The science school partnered with Snake River Montessori School. To find out more about the camp, click here.
