Fire blocks highway near Carey
A fire burning near Carey has blocked traffic on U.S. Highway 26.
KMVT reports about 400 acres are on fire, 6.5 miles southwest of Carey near Preacher Bridge. As of 5 p.m. Monday, it was not threatening structures or private land.
