“We Will Not Conform” event sells out

Glenn’s Beck’s live event tackling Common Core aired Tuesday night in more than 650 theaters nationwide. It was so popular, one local cinema had to open a second theater to show it.

The showing called “We Will Not Conform” was put on by Beck and Fathom Events. According to Brianna Lang, associate manager at Edward’s Grand Teton Stadium in Ammon, the showing sold out one theater and they had to open a second one. About 300 tickets were sold at $18 a piece. The live event was also shown at the Paramount 5 in Rexburg. People who went to the showing in Ammon said this is a must see.

“I’d pay for them to go to it,” said Jed Zirker of Ammon.

“Yeah, I wanted to see what they had to do with core values as well, but with Common Core that is in the schools, I don’t believe in Common Core,” said Norma Anderson of Ammon.

“I just wanted to come and hear more details. I had searched some of it already and I had a lot of concern about the negative impact on children, families, the nation, ” said Cindy Tucker of Idaho Falls.

Two of the people that Eyewitness News talked to Tuesday night were not able to get in to see it. The program will be rebroadcast at 7:30 p.m., July 29.
