Expect traffic delays on Constitution Way

You can expect traffic delays on Constitution Way in Idaho Falls this month. Idaho Falls Power said the traffic is due to the replacement of old light poles. The company said 13 light poles will be replaced and three new lights will be added. Old equipment on a handful of other poles will also be restored.

“A lot of them are pretty old they are starting to rust so we wanted to get those out of there. There is also some pretty good new LED technology that produces a lot more light output and a fraction of the energy is used so we are going to save a lot more money,” said Matt Evans, with Idaho Falls Power.

The construction will affect the entire stretch of Constitution Way, from the Bonneville County Courthouse to Yellowstone Highway. Construction is expected to take three weeks.
