Rexburg man arrested in child enticement case
A Rexburg man was arrested on suspicion of enticing a child through use of the Internet.
Rexburg police said Christian Ramirez Valle, 25, sent multiple sexually explicit videos via text messages to a 10-year-old girl in Bloomfield, New Mexico.
The girl’s mother found the messages and contacted Bloomfield police. Officers notified the Department of Homeland Security, whose agents traced the texts to Rexburg.
Homeland Security and Rexburg police obtained search and arrest warrants and took Valle into custody.
He was being was being held on $150,000 bond Thursday in the Madison County Jail.
Charges are also pending in New Mexico.
