Man accused of attacking, robbing woman

A Pocatello man was arrested on a charge of robbery after he was identified as the man who robbed a woman around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Police said, Jeffrey Dillon Upchurch, 28, knocked the woman to the ground as she was walking in the 100 block of McKinley and forcibly took a small amount of cash from her.

Upchurch was arrested an hour later in the vicinity of 5th and Bridger.

Police said the woman did not know Upchurch.

While being held in the Bannock County Jail, police said Upchurch kicked a police officer. He was charged with battery on an officer Tuesday night.
