T-Mobile applies to build cell tower in Chubbuck park

T-Mobile has officially filed an application with the city of Chubbuck to build a cell tower in Stuart Park.

In February, Local News 8 reported the phone carrier was considering the site.

The application asks for permission to construct an 80-foot monopole tower in the northwest corner of the park, according to city planning director Paul Andrus.

A public hearing on the matter is scheduled for April 14 at 7 p.m. at Chubbuck City Hall.

In December 2014, Chubbuck City Council denied T-Mobile’s request to build a tower on the grounds of Chubbuck Elementary.
