Jefferson sheriff won’t go on administrative leave

A proposal by Commissioner Brian Farnsworth that would have put Sheriff Blair Olsen on administrative leave has been rejected.

Olsen is facing three felony counts of misusing public money, and Farnsworth argued the sheriff should be placed on paid leave until his court trial is concluded.

Farnsworth voted in favor of the proposal and Commissioner Scott Hancock voted against it. Commissioner Jerald Raymond was not in attendance.
