State Police to get new $5.4M Pocatello office

Before the Idaho legislative session came to a close, lawmakers awarded Idaho State Police the $5.4 million needed to build a new District 5 headquarters.

The new facility will be built on land right next to the existing building on South 5th Avenue.

ISP plans to combine three other Pocatello offices into the new building, saving money that’s currently being spent on rent.

Lawmakers had previously approved $600,000 for planning and development of the new facility.

ISP Capt. Eric Dayley said the agency hopes to break ground as early as August.
