Sandcreek Commons moving quickly in Ammon
With Cabela’s opening in just over two weeks and more stores to follow, Sandcreek Commons is moving fast.
“It’s right on schedule and we look forward to Cabela’s opening on May 14th,” said Mayor Dana Kirkham of Ammon. “We’re excited for the convenience and the jobs that it will bring.”
Other stores set to move in include Hobby Lobby later this year, and Broulim’s which is set to open sometime next year.
“We’re waiting for the announcement for the 4th box store,” said Kirkham. “We’re pretty excited about that, and there are some other specialty stores that will start construction soon. Things are going really well.”
Mayor Kirkham says the biggest benefit of the new development is the number of jobs. If you include the number of construction jobs plus the number of retail positions, the area will employ several hundred people.
