Boy arrested on Teton County, Wyoming, sexual assault warrant
A boy was arrested in Issaquah, Washington, on a Teton County, Wyoming, first-degree sexual assault warrant on Thursday.
The Teton County Sheriff’s Office said the suspect is being charged as an adult and is being held in a juvenile detention facility in Seattle on a $100,000 bond.
The charges stem from an incident on New Year’s Eve 2014 at a large party of minors and young adults in which a girl was sexually assaulted. The sheriff’s office and Teton County school resource officer and conducted numerous interviews and collected physical evidence, which led to the suspect’s arrest. The investigation is ongoing.
He will return to Jackson at a future time for legal proceedings.
The boy’s name and age were not released.
