Voters decide bond, levy elections

Bond and levy elections were held throughout southeast Idaho on Tuesday.

Here’s what voters decided:

Bonneville County School District 93, $56.1 general obligation bond for new high school. The bond, which needed a supermajority to pass, failed with66.19 percent in favor.

Butte County School District 111, $330,000 general obligation bond for athletic track, related facilities and equipment. Bond passes.

Ririe School School District 252, supplemental levy, $385,000 a year for two years. Levy passes.

Sugar-Salem School District 322, supplemental levy, $450,000 a year for two years. Levy passes.

South Lemhi School District 292, plant facilities levy, $20,000 a year for 10 years. Levy passes.

Preston School District 201, plant facilities levy, $900,000 a year for five years. Levy passes.

Consolidation of North Gem School District 149 and Grace Joint School District 148, to be named North Gem-Grace Joint School District 147. Grace area voters approved the proposal by 85 percent, and North Gem voters approved it by 38 percent. Since it needed to receive 51 percent support in both districts, the consolidation failed.

Bear Lake County, $3.3 million bond for new courthouse in Paris. Bond fails.
