Weekend attendance high for aquatic complex
The summer sun brought hundreds to Ross Park Aquatic Complex over the weekend to cool off.
The RPAC first opened Memorial Day weekend, but due to the cold, rainy weather attendance was low. Staff considered this past weekend more as opening weekend, with over 400 guests recorded on Saturday alone.
The complex is equipped with a children’s pool, activity pool, lazy river, water slide and a main pool area.
Assistant manager Brandon Ganske said the strong weekend showing makes up for this season’s slow start.
“Friday, Saturday and Sunday of this weekend have just been really good,” Ganske said. “Yesterday and today we’ve had people at the front waiting to come in before we even open.”
The RPAC is open daily from noon to 4 p.m. weather permitting. Admission ranges from $2 to $6.
