Julia Cox
Julia comes to eastern Idaho all the way from northern New Jersey, where she was born and raised.
Julia went to the University of Scranton for two years, where she played softball, before transferring to The University of Tennessee her junior year of college. While at Tennessee, she worked for the University’s athletic broadcasting department and VFL Films. There she learned to shoot, edit and produce features and stories on Tennessee’s athletes and coaches, as well as fine tune her reporting skills. Julia graduated from Tennessee in May of 2014, but stuck around for another year to complete a post-grad internship.
With the launch of the SEC Network in August of 2014, Julia was able to produce features and report from the sidelines for women’s basketball, soccer and volleyball games on the SEC Network+ broadcasts. With her softball background, she was also a color analyst for Tennessee’s softball games, also on The SEC Network+. She thoroughly enjoyed her time in Knoxville but can’t wait to explore Idaho.
When Julia is not cheering on the Vols (which is never), you can find her rooting for the New York Giants, Yankees, New Jersey Devils and the Knicks (sad I know)!
