Arco celebrates 60 years of nuclear, attracts naval commander
There’s a rich history in Arco, Idaho.
In 1955, they powered the entire city using nuclear power.
Today, they’re celebrating 60 years since the groundbreaking event.
Which attracted a very special guest in town.
Kevin Sims, the lieutenant commander of the U.S.S Arco floating dry port- who came to pay respect to the namesake of his port.
“It’s very interesting, they’ve really rolled out the red carpet for me here,” said Sims.
