4-H kids, teens show rabbits at fair
4-H kids and teens of all ages showed their rabbits at the fair Monday after working hard all year.
Those involved said even though they’re small, there’s still a lot of hard work that goes into caring for rabbits.
One of the judges, Susan Craythorn, said the animal’s size is one reason why they’re a great way to get involved in 4-H.
“Don’t have the room, don’t have the acreage or the property, it’s not as expensive as buying a calf or lamb. They can have a pen in their terrace or in their backyard,” she said.
