Bingham County updates Bingham Memorial Hospital lease

Bingham County has updated the lease agreement it has with Bingham Memorial Hospital.

The updated lease states the county will maintain ownership of the property and hospital assets. It has eliminated the two unpredictable variable payments in exchange for one $400,000 minimum payment plus a half percent of the hospitals net patient services revenue.

This is beneficial to the county because they can plan for this income in the budget rather than using the hospital payment as “additional revenue”.
