Lightning fire discovered northeast of Ashton

A small 2.5 acre fire was discovered by aircraft Monday about 17 miles northeast of Ashton and 11 miles southeast of Island Park.

The Partridge Fire was believed to have been started by lightning between Partridge Creek and the Warm River Road.

The Caribou-Targhee National Forest said firefighters are actively managing the fire and smoke may be visible from the Warm River Road. All trails are open.
