More flights could come to Idaho Falls

More direct flights might be coming to Idaho Falls. The city is teaming up with the Regional Economic Development Corporation for East Idaho to conduct a travel survey.

The data collected will be used to develop routes to benefit the business community because most of the flights out the Idaho Falls Regional Airport are business related.

The survey looks at what businesses are traveling, where they’re traveling, how much their travel budget is and other travel needs. This is used to show air line planners the demand and need for more flights.

“One of the first questions they ask is about the airport: What direct routes they have, what routes they have to other areas of the country.” said Idaho Falls Economic Development Coordinator Dana Briggs. “So having more flights available will help attract business to our region.”
