NAACP holds tri-state conference in Pocatello
The NAACP is in Pocatello for its annual Tri-State Conference.
The weekend-long event started Friday. Its goal is to bring together people to discuss civil rights and voting rights.
The president of the Tri-State Conference Jeanetta Williams, flew in from Utah to be a part of this conference.
She said they have made a lot of progress but there’s still a lot of work to be done.
“I think a lot of it would be just the urgency of civil rights. And we don’t people to get so complacent, but yes we have won a lot of battles but we have a lot to back and win all over again,” said Williams.
A dinner will be held Saturday night and will feature guest speakers and authors.
