Pocatello man charged after attack
A Pocatello man is being held in the Bannock County jail on two counts of aggravated battery. Robert Lee Sage, 47, was arrested after a police dog tracked him down at 3551 Jason Avenue at 3:40 p.m. Monday.
According to police reports, victims called 9-1-1 after Sage allegedly broke down the door of a home in the same area and began stabbing and hitting two people inside. The victims said they knew their attacker and identified Sage for police.
Sage fled the residence, but officers set up a perimeter around the residence and later captured him.
The two people who were attacked have been hospitalized. Police said their wounds were not life-threatening but they will not be releasing more information about the victims at this time.
The Pocatello Police Department is continuing to investigate the incident.
