Prayer vigil held for Iranian captive Saeed Abedini

The community gathered today on the behalf of the third anniversary of Saeed Abedini’s imprisonment in Iran.

The Vigil was held outside in front of City Hall where pastors of Calvary Chapel lead the crowd in prayer.

Since Abedini’s capture, he leaves behind his wife and two children who live in Boise. They have prayed and fought for his return home since 2012.

As Abedini remains behind bars, he’s beaten and tortured often. This comes after he refused to renounce Jesus Christ as his lord and savior. Him and his family stay on contact as often as it’s allowed. Although there have been months without communication at all.

In the meantime, the community of Pocatello Saturday prayed for his speedy return home to his family.
