Train hits semi on tracks on Iona Road
Tuesday morning at about 9:30 a.m. Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a traffic crash on Iona Road at the railroad tracks just East of Holmes.
A semi tractor and trailer was westbound on Iona Road. The Semi failed to yield to an oncoming Northbound train. The train could not stop immediately and struck the front of the semi.
The sheriff’s office reports that no one was injured in the accident.
Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office wants to remind people to please stop and look both directions for trains before crossing the railroad tracks. They say if you see tracks think train.
