Idaho Falls Police have coffee with the community
Idaho falls police enjoyed a cup of coffee or two Thursday morning.
It may not sound like anything new, but this time is was different.
It’s a new program called “Coffee with a Cop”
Anyone can enjoy a free cup of coffee or soda from McDonalds with police officers.
This is the first event of its kind with the police department, and they hope to do more of these in the future.
“This is a pretty rare event this isn’t something we get to do very often I’m sure from people’s experience with us most of the time they see us driving around, we’re always involved with something. It’s pretty unique for us to be able to sit down and be able to connect with people on a personal basis, ” said Sage Albright, patrolman with the Idaho Falls Police
