Home2Suites opens at Snake River Landing

Home2Suites by Hilton held their ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday . The new hotel on Snake River Landing says they are taking energy efficiency to a whole new level.

Kiersten Landers, sales director, said, “I think we are actually pushing the limit. I think it’s going to get other hotels thinking about what they do in their rooms. How we need to treat the environment. It’s not only a trend, it’s something we need to strive for.”

Home2Suites features carpet made of 65 percent recycled material. Chairs are made of 95 percent recycled material. Dual flush toilets save water. CFL lightbulbs and even shampoo dispensers are used to get rid of plastic bottle waste. The pool is sanitized using saline instead of harsh chemicals, so it’s safe for the skin and eyes.

Home2Suites also features a work out room called Spin2Cycle. Visitors can use the free laundry facility while they work out.
