Missing Hiker found in Custer County
25 year old Lucas Richardson was found Wednesday on the Devil’s Bedstead Mountain in the Kane Creek drainage.
Richardson was reported missing on September 14th, after he didn’t show up for work.
He was working in Blaine County.
Custer and Blaine County Sheriff’s offices ended the initial search on September 21st.
Search crews looked around the Kane Creek drainage, Summit Creek Trail, and surrounding mountains for over a week with no sings of Richardson.
On Wednesday, Sawtooth Mountain Guides hired by the Richardson Family found Lucas’ body on a rock on the northwest ridge of the Devil’s Bedstead.
