Rigby inventor develops plastic gun safe

How you store your gun could be a matter of life or death. If you have it for protection you want it nearby, but how do you keep it out of kids’ hands at the same time? That’s a problem a Rigby man ran into, so he found a solution.

Wayne Jones created Artemis. It’s a plastic lock box that is kidproof and it still fits under the bed. It unlocks with a fingerprint and it only opens for fingerprints that are programmed into its system.

Jones said he created this to protect children.

“We’re going to stop the possibility of me losing somebody in my family because somebody carelessly put a gun under their bed,” he said.

Jones said the point of Artemis is to protect children, not the gun.
