ISU campus security nationally recognized

Idaho State University’s Department of Public Safety has been recognized as a spotlight department by the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administration.

Public Safety was chosen from more than 500 institution members.

ISU’s safety department has installed more than 700 interior and exterior cameras, which allow dispatchers to monitor Pocatello, Idaho Falls, and Meridian campuses.

The public safety building is manned 24/7 and at the assistance of the campus community from anywhere, anytime for students and staff.

“It’s important that our campus and peers know the steps we are going through to keep our campus safe,”said Director of Public Safety Lewis Eakins.
