Man found dead after police pursuit in Bingham County
One man is dead after leading police on a chase in Bingham County.
A press release from the Blackfoot Police Department says officers tried to pull over a vehicle Saturday, Oct. 31 just after 10 p.m. as part of a police investigation.
The driver, 30-year-old Jesus Guadalupe Contreras, drove off leading officers from the Blackfoot Police Department, Bingham County Sheriff’s Office and Fort Hall Police Department in a chase.
Eventually the vehicle stopped, inside officers found Contreras dead.
The investigation has been turned over to the Eastern Idaho Critical Incident Team.
No other information has been released at this time.
