Bannock County Courthouse cleared following bomb threat
“We had a bomb threat over there at the courthouse,” said County Commissioner Howard Manwaring.
According to the commissioner and Pocatello Police, the threat was placed early Thursday morning. Someone called the sheriff’s office and made the threat around 2a.m., saying any responding police officers would die.
A second bomb threat was made involving the courthouse, both calls were made from the same number.
Manwaring said officers secured the courthouse and searched each room thoroughly with bomb-sniffing dogs, and was cleared prior to opening Thursday.
Police say they have the resources to trace those calls. The incident remains under investigation.
A bomb threat was made on the courthouse back in June as well.
