Police: Man kidnaps woman, holds her at motel
An Idaho Falls man held a woman against her will in a motel room Tuesday night, police said.
Idaho Falls police were notified of a possible kidnapping around 6:30 p.m. Officers found Dean Patrick Oe, 46, with a 19-year-old woman at Motel 6 on Broadway.
The woman told police she was forced into a pickup truck by Oe and taken against her will to the motel. While at the motel, she sent text messages asking for help to an acquaintance, who notified police.
Oe was arrested on a second-degree kidnapping charge and was booked into the Bonneville County Jail.
Police said Oe and the woman might have known each other. We’ll update this story with more information when it becomes available.
