Update: Misdemeanor battery charge against David Hadley dropped
Update: The misdemeanor battery charge against former Shelley High School Athletic Director David Hadley has now been dropped.
Shelley City Prosecutor Garrett Sandow said the city agreed to drop its charges against Mr. Hadley if he would submit his voluntary resignation as both a teacher and athletic director, which he did earlier this week.He appeared in court today and the judge dismissed the charges.
Original Story: Shelley High School Athletic Director David Hadley has resigned from the position.
Shelly School District Superintendent Bryan Jolley confirms that Hadley resigned from the position yesterday. Jolley says Hadley resigned for personal reasons and could not comment on what those reasons may be.
Jolley says they are currently looking for an interim replacement for Hadley.
Hadley is facing a misdemeanor charge of battery after a confrontation with a female student. A pretrial conference in the trial is set for February 9th.
