Sheriff’s office investigating armed robbery in Bonneville County
Update: The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office confirmed Monday morning that one of the suspects in the robbery of the Country Corner Market was arrested early Monday morning after they robbed a second store.
Sgt. Bryan Lovell confirmed that one of the two juveniles involved in a robbery at the Stinker Store on 1st street in Idaho Falls was also involved in the Country Corner Market robbery. The sheriff’s office is still looking for the others two suspects.
Original story: The Bonneville County Sheriff’s office is investigating an armed robbery that happened at the Country Corner Market Sunday morning.
Deputies say three Hispanic males went into the store, threatened the clerk and took money and cigarettes. That’s when they ran. Deputies say no one was hurt during the robbery. The sheriff’s office says there does not appear to be any connection to the recent armed robberies being investigated by the Idaho Falls Police at this time. According to a press release, the suspects are described as follows:
One suspect was described as wearing a gray hoodie, gray pants, light colored sneakers, and was wearing a white mask with red stains or markings on it. This suspect threatened the clerk with a baseball bat.
A second suspect was dressed in black with a black hoodie tied tight around his face.
A third suspect was described as possibly being a teenager with a light blue checkered zipper flannel coat with attached gray hoodie, black pants, and a white and blue bandanna around his head.
All three males were described as Hispanic, skinny, and between 5’3″ and 5’7″ inches tall.
