Idaho Falls couple charged with drug trafficking
Bonneville County deputies arrested an Idaho Falls couple at around 12:25 a.m. Tuesday on charges of drug trafficking.
Brett D. Murdock, 42, and Valerie J. Murdock, 43, were in a vehicle pulled over by a deputy for a traffic violation on Sunnyside Road near the Interstate 15 exit.
The deputy became suspicious and requested a drug-sniffing dog from the Idaho Falls Police Department. The dog made indications that illegal drugs were inside the vehicle.
A further search located four pounds of marijuana in the trunk.
Both suspects were being held in the Bonneville County Jail Wednesday.
