Grace Lutheran 8th grader collects 2,000 books for cause

An 8th grader’s make a difference project turns big with the community with the help of United Way and other community organizations.

Grace Lutheran student Brayden Smith collected 2,000 books for the school project. At first, he didn’t know what to do for it, but was inspired by the amounts of old books in his garage.

The project has also contributed to the book recycling effort of southeast Idaho.Their goal this year is to collect 10,000 books before the start of Summer.

“Well I’m hoping that I can possibly do it again in high school or over the Summer, something to do. It would be kinda fun. And it’s fun to see the people’s reaction when you give it to them, it’s very happy and good to see,” said Brayden.
