Idaho Falls woman arrested for threatening a man with a knife

Idaho Falls Police arrested 23-year-old Nakita L. A. Avila for aggravated assault after she threatened a 38-year-old man with a knife during an argument Sunday afternoon.

Avila of Idaho Falls was booked into the Bonneville County Jail.

According to reports, officers responded to the 1400 block of South Higbee around 1:40 p.m. for a report of a domestic disturbance. The victim reported he and Avila got into an argument after he refused to give her money while together near Emerson and 15th Street.

During the argument, she threatened him with a knife. He also reported to police she tried to hit him with her car.

Avila was contacted and arrested in the 200 block of Lomax.
