Idaho Falls makes Playful City USA list for second year
Idaho Falls made the list as one of the most playful cities in the country for the second consecutive year.
The nonprofit group KaBoom! names the cities and towns to be honored as Playful City USA.
Among the standards that the cities need to meet: Residents need to have easy access to parks and playgrounds, and programs that kids and families can take part in.
Idaho Falls has all of those things and more, like the zoo and aquatic center.
“One of my favorite things is to come down, kind of right before sunset, and walk the greenbelt,” Chris Horsley, Recreation Program Specialist for Idaho Falls Parks and Recreation said. “It’s such a cool place. It brings that almost that little kid inside of you out.”
