Fort Hall reservation puts up Purple Heart signs

Fort Hall is proud to show off the new Purple Heart signs on the reservation, in honor of our veterans who were wounded in combat, receiving a purple heart medal.

Back in December, it was announced that Fort Hall was the first indian reservation in the country to honor military personnel who were wounded in action, receiving the purple heart.

Recently, the reservation was finally given 10 Purple Heart signs around the reservation to represent veterans from all over and their sacrifices.

“And you’ll see one of the signs behind me that is located off of highway 91. And we also put up some signs off of I-15. It just so happens we received these signs on Memorial Day weekend in honor of our veterans,” said Randy’L Teton, Public Affairs Manager, Fort Hall.

The Purple Heart celebration will be held at the Arbor Arena in Fort Hall this August. The event is open to the public.
