Idaho Falls business making Zika kits for U.S. Olympic team

The Zika virus is a major concern for people heading to the summer Olympics and an Idaho Falls company is playing a major role in helping with the concern.

Printcraft Press is putting together Zika kits for the entire U.S. Olympic team. It’s working with a nonprofit owned by the University of Utah.

The kit helps test for the Zika virus. It’s a three part clinical trial kit: one for pre-travel, one for post travel and one in case a test comes back positive.

“I thought that was pretty exciting. That we get to be involved in that,” general manager Jeanie Reimer said. “A lot of people don’t think those capabilities exist here.”
