Fort Hall orders ban on fires and fireworks
Fort Hall Fire & EMS has ordered a reservation-wide ban on fireworks and open fires.
Fire Chief Brian Briggs asked the Ft. Hall Business Council to approve the resolution banning the igniting of fireworks and burning effective Wednesday. The only exceptions to the burn will be for ceremonial fires, like sweat lodge or Sundance activities.
The ban will remain in effect until fire danger is over or until October 1, whichever comes first.
