Cold temperatures blamed for Idaho Falls water main break
The Idaho Falls Public Works Department repaired a broken water main Saturday afternoon.
City spokeswoman Kerry Hammon says cold temperatures caused soil to shift, breaking a pipe in the area of Azalea and Sequoia drives.
The break occurred around 1:00 p.m and the water was shut off for about an hour. It was since been turned back on.
The area is now icy and people who are traveling it are asked to be extra cautious.
