ICY and DANGEROUS driving conditions on this Monday as a mess of winter weather continues to push through Eastern Idaho and Western Wyoming. An atmospheric river of sorts has itself parked over the West keeping us very active with rain, snow and ice to continue through Wednesday.
Monday, on-and-off rain/snow showers with rain mainly in the southern Snake River Plain. New snow totals will range from a mere trace in some lower elevations to several inches in the higher mountains. Highs will range from the mid-20’s to the upper 30’s. It will be windy with gusts upwards of 40mph possible.
Tonight, wintry mix and snow likely with more dangerous road conditions due to ice as temps drop back below freezing. Staying windy with gusts up to 40mph. Chance of snow 90%.
Tuesday, on-and-off rain/snow showers with a majority of locations seeing snow. Temps will be a bit cooler, topping out in the 20’s and low 30’s. Count on breezy winds as well. Icy roads expected.
Wednesday, on-and-off rain/snow showers in the morning with clearing skies by the early evening hours. Highs will be in the 20’s to 30’s. The winds will be a factor in the morning as well. Icy roads possible.
