Lithia Chrysler holds ribbon cutting for new location
The Lithia Chrysler dealership is moving into a new home.
It’s moving from its old location on Pole Line Road to Chubbuck. Its new building is behind Wal-Mart, next to the new Honda dealership and across from Texas Roadhouse.
Lithia has Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep models.
The general manager, Reid Garrett, said the dealership had been its old location for about 40 years. He said the building was getting old and run-down and wasn’t up to the standards it needed.
So the dealership decided a new, more modern location was necessary.
“It was time to upgrade, it was time to give our customers a nicer experience and that’s really what the investment was all about,” Garrett said.
The building cost $5 million. The new building has a children’s play area, drive-in services and other new upgrades. It also has 45 new spaces available for more inventory.
Garrett said it’s been a long process. He said they’ve had the land for several years and been working on building. He said he’s excited to have the new location.
Right now, Lithia is also holding a community raffle to raise money for the Pocatello/Chubbuck school district. Raffle tickets are $2 each, and the money from all the tickets goes to the school district. Whoever wins the raffle wins a Dodge Dart GT, valued at $25,000.
