Local man sent to hospital after vape equipment explodes in his face

(KIDK/KIFI) — In a Facebook post, a man in Pocatello posted graphic photos of himself after he said vaping equipment exploded in his face.

In his post he said he lost seven teeth and suffered from second degree burns. The post has since gone viral and has been shared all across the world.

However, some people are wondering if this proves that vaping is not safe, while others say they have been vaping for years without a problem.

Some people posted on Andrew Hall’s Facebook page, horrified that the equipment exploded in his face. Other people posted on his page saying it was likely a user error that caused the vape to explode.

“It is like a puzzle you know, you use the right pieces for the right equipment just like anything but I have been vaping for 10 years and have never had an incident,” commented vape user, Shawn Fowler.

The owner of Outlaw Vapor, Ben Bosworth, said people are welcome to come to their shop if they are worried about faulty vaping equipment.

“You know what you can come in and ask us does this device look safe and we an offer you our opinion on it,” Bosworth commented.
