Home total loss in Jefferson County Fire

A home is a total loss in a Wednesday evening fire in Jefferson county, near the community of Hamer. Jefferson County Sheriff Steve Anderson says at 5:42 p.m., The Hamer Fire Department, West Jefferson Fire Department and Roberts Fire Department responded to a residential fire at 2122 E 1900 N. When first responders arrived, the residence was fully engulfed. The Sheriff says the residence is owned by 75-year-old Thomas Stosich. Mr. Stosich was not home at the time of the fire, but has been notified. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time and is being investigated by the Idaho State Fire Marshal’s Office. The Sheriff says the residence appears to be a total loss. No injuries were reported during this incident.
