ISU says some students will be impacted by travel ban

(KIFI/KIDK) On Monday, Idaho State University released a statement in response to Trumps executive travel ban.

The university said, “Idaho State University enjoys a robust and diverse community of Bengals, and we are strongly committed to providing a supportive environment for all of our students, faculty, staff and friends. In addition to fostering a welcoming environment within our community, ISU remains focused on helping all of our students–regardless of their backgrounds–complete a quality education at our institution.”

The university said they already reached out the students and the families that were impacted by this ban.

“We are concerned for our international students, their families and others within our campus community who are directly affected. The ISU International Programs Office has reached out to all impacted students to offer support and provide direction. Additionally, we advise any members of our campus community who may elect to travel outside the USA, that upon return, entry challenges may be faced,” the university added.

Currently, the university has not released any specific information about the students who were impacted or where they are from.
