Rexburg joins regional development coalition
The city of Rexburg is joining the Regional Economic Development for Eastern Idaho (REDI) organization. Mayor Jerry Merrill said the move would help attract talent to local job openings. “We believe Rexburg will benefit from joining REDI to partner in their extensive economic development efforts,” said Merrill. “REDI offers a full range of marketing and promotion services that will provide synergy to what we are already doing in business recruitment, retention, and expansion. We look forward to working with REDI in growing Rexburg’s economy.” “Eastern Idaho is ripe for companies looking for an ideal location to operate. With the extensive pool of young, educated talent in our region, new as well as existing businesses can easily tap into Rexburg’s large pool of ready-to-work residents to fill a wide range of job openings,” said Jan Rogers, CEO of REDI. “We are excited to work in partnership with Rexburg to market and promote economic development opportunities in the region,” she said. Previous REDI members include Bonneville County, Idaho Falls, Ammon, Ucon, Bingham County, Blackfoot, and Shelley.
