Wyoming Highway Patrol targeting tractor trailer traffic
The Wyoming Highway Patrol will be stepping up patrols on Teton Pass. The action is in response to a recent increase in reports of tractor trailers violating seasonal closures on Wyoming 22. Under Wyoming law, Teton Pass is closed to all tractor trailer traffic from November 15 to April 1 every year. Any tractor trailer illegally using the pass can be found in violation of running a road closure and subject to applicable fines. The Wyoming Department of Transportation will also be installing a mobile variable message board with closure information for added awareness. Teton Pass will remain closed to tractor trailer traffic until April 1. Alternative routes are available at any WYDOT port of entry or permit station. Information is also available here.
