Idaho Falls Arts Council to present awards

The Idaho Falls Arts Council has honored three recipients with its 2017 Arts Awards.

The awards are presented annually to members of the community who have shown exemplary achievement or support of the arts.

Idaho Falls Symphony Director Dr. Thomas Heuser was honored for “Achievement in the Arts”.

Kerry Martin was honored with the Council’s “Support of the Arts” for her work contributing to arts organizations and non-profit agencies. Her work has included organizations like Breaking Boundaries, the Zoological Society, the Art Museum of Eastern Idaho.

Brad Higbee was also recognized for his donation of time and equipment used by local groups to production of artistic presentations.

The awards will be presented as prior to a musical production of “Menopause” at the Colonial Theatre, March 17th.
