Update: Juvenile injured in car vs pedestrian accident released

Update 3/15/17 3:20 pm: The male juvenile that was injured in a pedestrian vs vehicle accident Tuesday has been released from Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. He was treated for minor injuries.

The driver of the vehicle, Syklar T. Maupin, has been cited for failing to maintain lanes.

Original Story: A male juvenile is at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center Monday night after being hit by a car in St. Anthony.

Idaho State Police says the accident happened around 5:00 p.m. on Bridge Street near the Maverik.

Skylar T. Maupin of St. Anthony was driving northbound on Bridge street. His vehicle left the road, went over a sidewalk, hit a utility pole before hitting the juvenile.

The juvenile was taken to EIRMC by air ambulance his condition is unknown at this time.

The accident is under investigation.
